Recommended Times and Temperatures for Polyester and Delicate Fabrics

125 degrees Celsius is the optimum temperature to press your transfer onto a polyester or delicate garment.

The ideal paper to use for printing on polyester is the Laser Dark (No Cut) paper, which is designed to work at lower temperatures. It can be used as low as 110 degrees Celsius. We recommend using a temperature of 125 degrees Celsius for polyester and delicate garments to protect them from heat damage and prevent dye migration. The recommended temperature range is between 120 and 130 degrees Celsius, but it should not exceed this limit.

Dye migration occurs when the temperature exceeds 135 degrees Celsius on polyester fabric. For instance, if you press white numbers on a red football shirt at a temperature that is too high, they may turn pink due to dye migration.
