Photoshop actions to add a spot channel

To create the spot channel in your artwork so that it is suitable for use with FlexiPrint Production Manager, you can install this Photoshop action to streamline your workflow.

This action, will crop the artwork so that there is no excess space around the outside of the image, it will also add the spot channel that is named correctly for the RIP software.

• Click the download button below to download the action to your computer.

Installing the action in Photoshop

• Open Photoshop
• Load the 'Actions' panel from: 'Windows > Actions' or the shortcut is 'Alt' + 'F9'
• Click the hamburger menu on the top right and select 'Load Actions...'

• Highlight the downloaded action file and click 'Load'

Using the actions

• From the 'Actions' panel, click the arrow next to the action that you have loaded, this will expand the action.
• Highlight the 'Spot_White' 
• Click the 'Play selection' button at the bottom of the panel
• Then you can save your artwork as a .TIFF file
