Forever Laser Dark and B Paper Tips

Here are some tips when using the laser dark and B paper:

  • Check the A-Foil
Make sure you're printing on the matte side of the A-Foil. One side is glossy and the other is matte.

  • Pre-warm
Warm up the press bed and the B-Paper before printing to remove moisture and apply the first few prints of the day.

  • Avoid white spots
To prevent white spots from appearing on unprinted areas, place five sheets of copy paper on top of the B-Paper before applying the A-Foil.

  • Use a slow, fluid motion
When separating the B-Paper from the A-Foil, work slowly and use a fluid motion without lifting them off the heat press's lower plate.

  • Check your printout
Before starting the process, you can create multiple transfers from an A3 sheet and test them one by one.

  • Use the heat press
Work with the heat from the press and don't be too slow when separating the A and B.

  • Get a feel for the media
Learn how the media feels and when you can let it unroll itself at the end of the process.

  • Dog ear the corner
Dog ear the corner you peel from to make it easier to start peeling the sheets apart.

  • Grip the A sheet
When separating the A and B sheets, grip the A sheet on the bottom.

  • Don't come up away from the press
Avoid coming up away from the press, as this can cause you to lose fine detail.
