Overview of maintenance procedures for SABTEX DTF printers

It's important that you follow the maintenance procedures as recommended to keep your printer running at optimum performance

DAILY START-UP MAINTENANCE

  • Confirm environment conditions are good to print
    • Temperature 16°C - 25°C
    • Humidity 40-70%
  • Inspect the remaining ink, powder and film levels, top up and replace if required
  • Check the waste ink levels and empty if necessary
  • Perform a weak head clean
  • Print a nozzle check pattern
  • Perform a head clean if any nozzles are missing

DAILY SHUTDOWN MAINTENANCE 

  • Cleaning the capping station
  • Cleaning the wiper blade
  • cleaning around the print head
  • Cleaning the media guides
  • Fill caps with cleaning solution if printer is to be left for more than 2 days without use
  • Cleaning the excess powder build up from the entry ramp of the dryer

WEEKLY MAINTENANCE

  • Cleaning the vacuum bed of the printer
  • Cleaning of the dryer, including entry ramp, exit ramp, powder tray and surrounds
  • Filling the capping station with just enough cleaning solution to cover the bottom pads of the caps
  • Drain the filtration system using the rear tap (if using the large smoke filter) 
  • Remove and replace the powder in the dryer (H650+ recirculating dryer only)
  • Agitate current ink stocks

BI-WEEKLY MAINTENANCE

  • Cleaning the encoder strip
  • Cleaning and greasing the guide rails
  • Cleaning the internal areas of the filtration unit

SIX-MONTHLY MAINTENANCE

  • Replacing the wiper blades
  • Replacing the cap tops
  • Replacing the dampers
  • Cleaning out the white ink tanks

Note: the first 6 month preventative maintenance service with be provided free of charge by Amaya. We will contact you closer to the time to arrange this.
