TexJet Echo 2 Six Monthly Maintenance

How to properly complete the Six Monthly Maintenance procedure. A step-by-step guide that will help you perform the Six Monthly Maintenance with ease.

  • Cleaning the ink cartridges

The Six Monthly Maintenance includes the cleaning of the cartridges. This is only applicable when using Refillable cartridges.

  • It is highly recommended to change cartridges annually, as dried ink at the bottom of cartridges can lead to Damper and Head Clogging.

    Cartridge Sediment and valve

 

Procedure:

  1. Open the ink cover Closing cover
  2. Lightly pinch the Rubber Bung until you hear a soft hissing, this will only last a few seconds.
  3. Remove the cartridge from the housing. 
  4. Remove the Rubber Bung from each cartridge.
  5. Carefully, with tweezers remove any dried ink from the refilling hole and around the rubber bung.

  6. Remove any dried ink from the Rubber Valve at the back of the cartridge.

  7. Slide the plastic cover to the side to remove it.
  8. Remove the Rubber Valve with caution as there is a spring on the other side. Also remove the small ball and sprint.
  9. Clean the ball, spring and surrounding area of the refilling hole.
  10. Reassemble the cartridges.
  11. Reinsert the Rubber Bungs into each cartridge.
  12. Place each cartridge back in to it's respective slot, make sure that the cartridge is properly gripped by pushing the cartridge from the front until you hear a click. correct slots not blurry-1
  13. Close the Ink Cartridge cover.
