Overview of Roland BY-20 maintenance procedures

It's important that you follow the maintenance procedures as recommended to keep your printer running at optimum performance. This will help to ensure you are producing perfect prints and minimise any downtime. 

DAILY START-UP MAINTENANCE

  • Check environmental conditions are correct
    • Temperature: 20°C - 28°C
    • Humidity: 40 - 60% (no condensation)
  • White ink mixing
  • Start-up cleaning - cleaning around the print heads
  • Print a nozzle check pattern
  • Perform a head clean if any nozzles are missing

DAILY SHUTDOWN MAINTENANCE

  • Shutdown cleaning - cleaning around the print heads

WEEKLY MAINTENANCE

  • Cleaning the grit roller
  • Cleaning the pinch roller
  • Cleaning the platen
  • Cleaning the apron

PERIODIC MAINTENANCE

  • Replacing the waste ink pad
  • Replacing the wiper
  • Replacing the print head cap top
  • Replacing the wiper pad
  • Replacing the wiper felt
  • Replacing the blade
