How to prevent powder in the unprinted areas or around the image
If you see powder in the unprinted areas of the film with the Roland TY-300 follow the steps below
If you're experiencing excess powder in the unprinted areas of the film or around the image area, check all of the items below:-
- This can be common at the begging or end of the print run when the tension on the media reduces.
- Ensure you're operating in the correct environmental conditions
- Powder hasn't picked up any moisture, this can come from condensation of excessive humidity. To check this, replace the powder.
- Increase the 'Shaking Strength'
- Ensure the media is tight between the trough of powder and when attaching it the vacuum roller. Check the videos below for examples:
