How to perform a head clean on the F2200

This article explains how to perform a head clean on the SC-F2200. A head clean is necessary when the nozzle check pattern is not complete and has missing nozzles. 

For print head cleaning, there are Auto Cleaning and three levels of print head cleaning, Light, Medium and Heavy

Perform Auto Cleaning first if the clogs are not cleared then do in the order of, Light, Medium, Heavy until the clogs are cleared.

Follow the steps below to perform the head cleaning:

• Press the 'Menu' button on the printer control panel
• Select 'Maintenance'
• Select 'Head Cleaning'
• Select the 'Auto Cleaning' method
• Press 'Yes' to print a nozzle check pattern

If you still have missing or clogged nozzles:

• Perform a 'Light' clean
• Print a nozzle check pattern and if nozzles are still missing perform a 'Medium' clean.
• Print a nozzle check pattern and if nozzles are still missing perform a 'Heavy' clean
• Print a nozzle check pattern
