How to check the bobbin tension is set correctly

To accurately set the tension of your bobbin cases, it is recommend that you obtain and use the Melco Bobbin Tension Gauge PN# 34746 or Digital Bobbin Tension Gauge PN# 35583.

• Make sure the thread is seated in the rollers, not under them.
• Smoothly pull the thread at approximately an inch per second, do not pull the thread too quickly.
• The tension should be between 250 and 300 all of these models, EMT16, EMT16 Plus, Bravo, EMT16x, XT and XTS
• The tension should not fluctuate out of spec. 
• If the bobbin tension does fluctuate in large numbers then the bobbin case should be changed.
