How to clean the sensor covers on the F2200

This article explains the process of cleaning platen height sensor covers. It is recommended to perform this on a weekly basis or whenever the printer prompts you to do so.

If you are using the printer heavily, you may wish to consider cleaning more regularly.

Follow the steps below to clean the sensor covers:

• Select 'Menu' on the printer control panel
• Select 'Maintenance'
• Select 'Cleaning the Maintenance Parts'
• Select 'Sensor Cover'
• Check the message then press 'Start'
• Follow the steps on the printer screen to complete the cleaning
• If ink stains cannot be removed completely with water, use the ink cleaner provided in the maintenance kit.
• Once both covers are clean, press the 'Done' button
• Check the on-screen message and press 'OK'
